Brazil’s poor bear brunt of social programmes’ funding cuts

Brazil’s outgoing President Michel Temer had promised to lift Latin America’s largest economy from a deep recession. Although unemployment rates have fallen, the cuts in social programs have impacted poor Brazilians.
