Sweden sees microchip implant revolution

The rise of biotechnology means that for more people even the most cutting-edge smartphones are becoming out of date.

Having a microchip inserted under the skin is increasingly the way to go, nowhere more so than in Sweden. Thousands of Swedes now use the technology, attending “implant parties” to have chips inserted to replace their gym cards, national IDs and even train tickets.
