Sudan protests, calls for president to step down

Sudan’s government says 19 people have been killed since anti-government demonstrations began more than a week ago.

Journalists went on strike on Thursday in solidarity with demonstrators, who are angry over the rising cost of living and are calling for President Omar Al Bashir to step down.
