North Carolina town suffers the brunt of Florence

The town of New Bern in North Carolina was among the worst hit by Florence as the relentless heavy rain flooded homes and scattered debris across neighbourhoods.

The town’s mayor says 30 roads are unpassable and more than a thousand people are still in shelters. The clean-up could take weeks
