ISIS bride who wants UK return ‘to have British citizenship revoked’

London (CNN)British teenager Shamima Begum, who left the UK to join ISIS in 2015 and has expressed a wish to return home, is to be stripped of her UK citizenship, her family’s lawyer said Tuesday.

The 19-year-old, who gave birth on Sunday, made headlines last week after she was found in a refugee camp in northern Syria by UK newspaper The Times and said she wanted to return to Britain.
Lawyer Mohammed Akunjee said in a statement on Twitter that her family were “very disappointed with the Home Office’s intention to have an order made depriving Shamima of her citizenship.”
