Guatemala volcano: Farmers try to recover in the aftermath

The long-term damage from Guatemala’s volcanic eruption is still being calculated, but it has become clear that farmers are struggling to make ends meet.

The ash damaged trees, killed crops, and layered the fields with rocks and debris – the farmers worry they may need government support to survive.

Still, they are working in the rich volcanic soil to regain what was lost.
