Chicago gets colder than North Pole and parts of Mars

At least 10 people have died in the United States from a cold snap that has caused temperatures to plunge to record lows.

The arctic conditions caused the cancellation of thousands of flights and closed schools and businesses across several Midwestern US states.

But forecasters say temperatures are expected to rise next week.
