Trump’s Syria decision takes allies by surprise

President Donald Trump’s unilateral decision to withdraw troops from Syria has taken the United States’ allies in the fight against the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) by surprise.

Many of them believe there is still a threat of ISIL regaining ground.
