Rebuilding schools and young lives in Mosul after ISIL

Children in the Iraqi city of Mosul are settling back into classes more than a year after the city was reclaimed from ISIL.

The armed group shut down and destroyed most schools when they seized Mosul in 2014.

It has been three years since some of the students were in class, but it’s hoped getting an education will help the children heal from the effects of war.

Al Jazeera’s Mohammed Adow reports from Baghdad.
