Rafik Hariri assassination trial comes to a close in The Hague

Closing arguments for the Rafik Hariri assassination trial are under way in The Hague.

It has been 13 years since Lebanon’s former prime minister was assassinated in a massive truck bombing in Beirut.

The UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon, which has been prosecuting the murder, has indicted members of the Lebanese party Hezbollah and while it will not issue a verdict until next year, political tensions over the court’s findings are resurfacing.

Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from Beirut.
